Biography

Prior to completing her master’s degree at OSU, Dawn Lesley received her bachelor’s in biology from the University of Chicago. She has more than 10 years experience as an environmental engineering consultant in the public and private sectors, including troubleshooting wastewater operations, designing wastewater treatment facilities, and working as an environmental engineer and municipal infrastructure planner for the City of Springfield, Oregon. Lesley currently works for Kennedy/Jenks Consultants in Eugene, Oregon as the GreenSteps Program Leader, developing and communicating sustainability initiatives, creating goals for sustainability in operations and designs, and developing educational programs. She is LEEDTM accredited and a regular contributor at national engineering and “green” conferences.
